Metal Men animated series reportedly in the works with Aladdin filmmakers

News coming in that Warner Bros Pictures and DC Comics is currently developing a Metal Men animated series and they are bringing in the Disney Aladdin team to create the project!

According to reports, the animators Ron Clements and John Musker from the 90’s Aladdin movie as well as other Disney hits like The Princess and the Frog, Moana and The Little Mermaid will be working on this series. Warner is also bringing in Space Jam:  A New Legacy writer Celeste Ballard.

The Meta Men were created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru in 1962 and follows the story of scientist Will Magnus and his creations, the Metal Men. These Metal Men are highly advanced robots that are named after the materials they were made of namely Iron, Mercury, God, Lead, Tin and Platinum.

In the years since they were introduced, the team have gone through various roster and member changes with some robots taken from different parts of the Periodic Table.

Clements and Musker will also be producing the series, and have written the first script. Next, they are looking to direct it as well. No word yet on when Warner plans on releasing this. Hopefully we get this by 2023 and at the same time, get new episodes of the Harley Quinn series.
