SAG-AFTRA Strike now officially over!

After months of picket and strikes, the SAG-AFTRA strike is now officially over and they just released a statement regarding this momentous occassion for actors and actresses in the US!

Here’s what they wrote on their social media accounts

I remember when the strike for actors started and that was around the time Barbie and Oppenheimer premiered in cinemas and now its been a few months since then and everybody looks to be happy with the deal that they got with the studios like Disney, Netflix and Warner. Prior to that the WGA or Writers Guild of America also ended their strike upon getting a good deal with the studios ensuring better pay for writers and better residuals for paid works such as TV shows and movies.

This would also mean that movies that have been paused during the strike get to continue their work including Deadpool 3 which was already knee deep into production when the strike began. Remember this was around the time they should Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine wearing a comic book accurate costume for the film fighting Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool / Wade Wilson…

Then remember that time Stephen Amell did a doo doo with his social media comments about the strike? Very not cool.

And that big news that most of the Marvel Studios projects would be pushed to a 2025 release date instead of 2024 as originally intended including projects like The Thunderbolts

This should be an exciting time for everybody from studios, to actors and writers to fans.
