Venom # 32 Spoilers – Another Host “Returns”

Let’s get up to speed with these Venom # 32 spoilers by Donny Cates and Iban Coello. This is also a tie-in to the ongoing King in Black event in Marvel.

After the fight between Eddie Brock aka Venom and Knull aka The King in Black, he got dropped from the top of the Empire State and left to die. Eddie gets woken up by a familiar face and it turns out to be Rex, the military man who was also a host to a symbiote and one of the new characters introduced in Donny Cates’ run, who tells Eddie that they are speaking in The Hive, the collective mind of the symbiotes under the control of Knull. It’s also revealed that they are spirits of sorts and cannot do anything in the physical realm. Rex also states that the heroes have fallen including guys like The Thing and Captain America.

One of the bigger shockers here is the fact that apparently Eddie Brock is already dying in the real world and his body is currently being cared for by Spider-Man and Reed Richards. His son Dylan Brock is also by his side…

Eddie refuses to give up and says that there is still a way to get back and more importantly beat Knull. Rex agrees and understands and states that their priority now is getting Brock’s other back, which is currently in the possession of Knull himself. Rex then reveals that he did manage to find the codex (or residue) of the Venom host he was looking for in the first place…

Flash Thompson returns as Agent Venom/Anti-Venom and will be helping Venom and Rex carry their mission next issue.

I’m excited to see what happens here but at the same time I don’t want to see Flash turning into the bad guy or a traitor for these Venom tie-ins. And would it be Ok if Marvel brings him back for good? His death in Amazing Spider-Man was shocking and really felt out of place TBH.
