In line with Marvel releasing a New Mutants miniseries called New Mutants: Dead Souls, the publisher has picked 10 books that will run the “New Mutant Variant Cover Program”, pretty much variant covers spotlighting the original members of the team.

The New Mutant Variant Cover program will feature several characters that are (a) OG members of the second team of young mutants Charles Xavier was supposed to train (b) set to make an appearance in 20th Century Fox’s NEW MUTANTS movie directed by Josh Boone.

Marvel described the variant cover program as:

dark portraits of your favorite Marvel heroes from acclaimed artists such as Dan Mora, Declan Shalvey, Mike Deodato and more.
