After that shocking cliffhanger ending last issue, its revealed that Human Torch isn’t dead at all. Spoilers from Avengers # 679.

You’d be a foold to think that Marvel would actually allow Johnny Storm to die again after he died during Jonathan Hickman’s run on the Fantastic Four.

So it turns out in Avengers # 679 by Mark Waid, Jim Zub and Al Ewing, The Human Torch is actually alive.

The founding member of the Fantastic Four will be for the better part of the No Surrender arc MIA. I do wonder though how this would affect his appearance in Marvel Two-in-One with The Thing.
