First Look Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf for Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events
Remember the time Jim Carrey played the nefarious Count Olaf? I don’t. Good thing though as Netflix is bringing back “A Series of Unfortunate Events” in TV series format and we’ve got our first look at Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf.

The series is based on the series of novels which was released as early as 1999 and has even been adapted to a Hollywood film in 2004.
What’s more interesting is how the accompanying text provided with the teaser also feature’s Count Olaf’s persona with the way it was written.
Meet the star of a new Netflix series telling the story of a very handsome actor and three selfish and ungrateful orphans who refuse to give him the enormous fortune their dead parents left behind.
Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events‘ stars is set to premiere January 13 in eight episodes and will also star (aside from Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf) Malina Weissman as Violet, Louis Hynes as Klaus, Bernadette Peters as Aunt Josephine and Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket.
“A Series of Unfortunate Events” will premiere Jan. 13 on Netflix with an eight-episode first season.
