Hellfire Gala 2023 Recap – The 3rd Generation of X-Men is introduced and then killed
Its been a while since Hellfire Gala 2023 dropped and its about time we do a recap of what you missed so far as the opening salvo for Fall of X. For starters, let’s take a look at the third generation of X-Men that has been chosen by the mutants of Krakoa and what happened moments after they were announced.
It’s nice to learn that Synch and Talon aka the older Laura Kinney that got left behind in the Vault and then got rescued by Forge are a couple going strong and that Jean and Cyclops consider them as the new power couple for the X-Men.
And that’s when the latest batch of X-Men members are introduced publicly to both the humans of the world and the mutants of Krakoa.
And this could have been an interesting team with the members being:
- Talon
- Synch
- Prodigy
- Cannonball
- Frenzy
- Dazzler
- Jubilee
- Juggernaut
And in that same page, we can see Jubilee saying that everybody look up because there’s a falling star. Only it wasn’t a falling star hurtling towards them.
It was Nimrod.
Nimrod drops down on Krakoa and the impact of his drop instantly kills a number of the X-Men team including Dazzler, Jubilee, Cannonball and Prodigy. Talon and Synch are able to escape the blast though and Juggernaut stumbles away inadvertently saving Jean Grey in the process.
What happens next is a bloodbath as the rest of Orchis descend on the mutants and the island is locked away for the mutants and the Fall of X storyline officially begins.
