Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Mid Credit Scene Description
It’s time to talk about the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Mid Credit Scene and how it will impact the characters and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ok so let’s talk about how it all came down.
After the initial credits we pick up right where we left off with Shuri taking in all the scenery and accepting the deaths of her brother T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and her mother Ramonda (Angel Bassett). Amidst all this we see Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) coming into view from behind. She approaches Shuri and introduces her to her nephew, Prince T’challa.
That’s right at some point between films T’Challa and Nakia had a kid.
Shuri is surprised by this and asks Nakia who knew about this.
Nakia tells her that the Queen knew about T’Challa’s son. She also tells Shuri that it was T’Challa’s decision to make them stay in Haiti as opposed to being with him during his death as well as the funeral.
Then we also learn here that the boy’s name in Wakandan was also T’Challa.
So what does this mean?
From a story standpoint it means that Shuri isn’t alone anymore. We initially thought that she’s got no more blood relatives with the death of her family but with prince T’challa’s introduction we could be seeing a future male Black Panther.
It also gives Shuri a reason to fight and be a better Black Panther. And this is made easier with M’Baku (Winston Duke) seemingly taking over as the ruler of Wakanda.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now showing in theaters. It stars Letitia Wright, Tenoch Huerte, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Dominique Thorne and more. The film is also directed by Ryan Coogler.
