Emma Frost can still beat the Avengers without lifting a finger – Trial of Magneto # 2 Spoilers

Here’s a little nice moment from X-Men: Trial of Magneto # 2 which shows us just how powerful a telepath Emma Frost is, even when doing a surprise psychic move against the Avengers.

In this issue, the X-Men welcome the Avengers inside Krakoa as they will be taking back the remains of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch who was found dead at the end of the Hellfire Gala tie-in issue of X-Factor. Magneto has been taken off the equation for a bit and is currently sleeping inside Krakoa’s Healing Gardens with Charles Xavier and Hope Summers taking care of him and checking his psychic landscape.

Present to take back the remains of Wanda are Captain America, The Wasp, Vision and Iron Man. The X-Men and members of X-Force like Wolverine were also around while members of X-Factor led by Northstar are still actively investigating the crime scene to determine whether Magneto was truly innocent or guilty of the death of Wanda Maximoff.

The X-Men then take the visiting members of the Avengers through a tour of the island while in the background Rachel Grey and her mother Jean Grey are trying to find a way to cover up Arbor Magna and the mutants’ secret for resurrection; something they plan on keeping a secret for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Jean is already thinking of erasing what they will be seeing from the minds of the Avengers but the moment they step into the portal leading to the gardens, they find that Emma Frost has already everything set.

Not only did she capture the minds of the Avengers, masking where they truly are, she also puts up a show that they are simply sunbathing with the Stepford Cuckoos. What the four Avengers never realized is that all of Krakoa’s forces are already gathered in the area waiting to attack the Avengers when it gets messy. Even the Resurrection Team are present and ready to fight behind Emma.

It just shows why Frost is always getting the Omega Level classification and is up there with other big time mutant telepaths like Charles Xavier and Jean Grey. And just look at how Iron Man / Tony Stark fawned over her. If she can’t dominate with her mind, she’ll definitely dominate with her physique.
