X-Factor # 10 spoilers – the death of a controversial mutant

The Hellfire Gala continues in X-Factor # 10 which also serves as the set up for X-Men: The Trial of Magneto happening in August. So here’s how it happened.

The issue was written by Leah Williams and art by David Baldeon.

So in this issue the team leaves the Boneyard together with The Five and join the Hellfire Gala with the other mutants then it connects with the general narrative and what happened in the other book like the Hellions crashing the party and The X-men officially introduced as well as the Planet Mars being Terra formed and renamed Planet Arakko.

The main story though is the solving of Prodigy’s murder at the hands of a serial killer who targets black queer men and murders them. Unfortunately for David aka Prodigy, he was a victim of this man and his past self managed to solve the murder and bring him to his killer.

When most of the team return to Krakoa and the Hellfire Gala, Eye-Boy manages to bring in Speed aka Tommy Shepherd, one of the Scarlet Witch’s sons and Prodigy’s date for the Gala. Eye-Boy then notices somebody in the bushes assuming he or she was drunk. When Tommy gets near, he’s surprised to find out it’s the body of his mother, Wanda Maximoff…

And the final page for X-Factor # 10 shows most of the Quiet Council members and the X-men with Wolverine looking at the clues and looking for Magneto.
