Filipino aswang The Manananggal will be appearing in JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V

A recent update on the official Shin Megami Tensei V website reveals that the classic Filipino aswang, the Manananggal, will be making an appearance as a character in the classic RPG/JRPG game.

The website revealed two additional monsters that will be added to the game with the aforementioned Manananggal who doesn’t have a designated voice actor yet. They did provide the look for the classic aswang via the image below…

Its definitely scary as heck and they really did a good character design. I would’ve loved to see the version we saw in the Netflix Trese series but that’s asking too much IMHO. The other creature added to the game as announced on the website is the Hayataro and will be voiced by Jouji Nakata).

Gameplay Trailer – Nintendo Switch

Can’t wait to see what the Manananggal’s powerset would be and if she would be powerful enough the see you through the final boss. But I think she’ll be like a starter demon/ character.
