Who is the leader of Planet Arakko? S. W. O. R. D. # 6 Spoilers

At the end of Planet Size X-men we find out that the mutants have successfully terraformed Mars and have renamed it Planet Arakko. Now we have to ask Who is the leader of Planet Arakko? Here’s a major spoiler from S.W.O.R.D. # 6 by Al Ewing and artist Valerio Schiti.

And take note, this happens just after the awesome display of firepower by the mutants as a way to cap of the Hellfire Gala.

So in the aftermath, Abigail Brand aka the boss lady of Sword holds a meeting with various leaders from across the galaxy which includes familiar faces like Paibok the Power Skrull, Peter Quill as Star-Lord, Noh-Varr aka Marvel Boy and Richard Rider for Earth.

Brand offers the new element they discovered called mysterium which they are willingly offering to attendees of that galactic meeting in exchange for acceptance of the Planet Arakko as the capital of this solar system. Plus they also want the mysterium element to become the new galactic currency which means the people who met with them gets first dibs on the currency.

Before anybody could make a decision, Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom makes an appearance and demands to know Who is the leader of Planet Arakko.

He doesn’t wait long too as we find out who the new leader of Planet Arakko is…

Storm.

We already saw hints of this in Gerry Duggan’s Planet Size X-men, where we saw Storm inspecting the diplomatic area they made for the mutants of Arakko after they get transported to Mars. Plus there were solicits that spoiled this plot point too.

I’m definitely interested in seeing how Storm would rule Mars now that she’s representing the red planet and the mutants. Also would Marvel be so kind enough to let this status quo stay for at least a decade.? They are churning a lot of good ideas with the various X-Books.
