5 Browser games to play on Plays.org to de-stress while working from home

Working from home can be tough despite what social media shows whether its on Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok. It’s not a glitzy thing to be honest. And I have to say that it could be as stressful as working in an office. To that end, the really good advantage of “work from home” setup is the fact that you can take a break and nobody will bat an eyelash. Here are 5 browser games to play on plays.org to de-stress while working from home.

By the way, these games are free to play via Plays.org. They continue to update the website with new games on a regular basis too. Again, FREE to play.

  1. Fight Virus

Here’s a fun game to play when you want to de-stress AND hypothetically fight off the COVID-19 virus, the main reason everything’s on lockdown for almost two years now.

How to Play
Keep patients running through the hospital efficiently while keeping the environment clean to prevent COVID-19 from overloading the hospital.

  • Clean & disinfect COVID-19 virus

    • Anytime you see a green virus symbol click on it to disinfect the area.
    • This game requires vertical scrolling to view the reception, medical check up area, and hospital ward.
    • A meter in the lower left corner shows what percent infected the hospital is.
      • The game is over when that meter reaches 70%.
      • Each virus icon represents roughly 7%.
      • It is somewhat easy to clean a virus or two, but as the system gets overloaded the virus spreads progressively faster, making it hard to keep up if the figure gets above 28%.
      • If you are unsure of where the virus is and can’t find it be sure to check outside both the bottom / main entrance as well as the emergency entrance on the side of the hospital in addition to all 3 sections of a hospital.
  • Help patients through the hospital process

    • Reception: You need to keep the reception area of the hospital clean, but do not need to interact with patients there beyond that.

    • Medical Check Up: Click on the medical check up desk to test patients for COVID-19. There is a green timer meter there where if you do not check them in time they might go undetected and start spreading virus around the hospital.

    • Ward: Click on the patients in the beds to help them recover more quickly.

2. 2 Minutes to Escape Game: Timed Scrolling Platform

While playing a stressful game won’t be everybody’s cup of tea, there are still people who want to immerse themselves in this kinds of games to actually de-stress. The goal of the game is to escape the room before the rocket in the room launches and you get barbecued. In each level you are given 3 hearts which will be removed everytime you hit an electric charge. When all three hearts are gone or the two minutes are up, you lose and start at the first level once again.

Again, its a fun game if you want to wake up and you’ve had too much coffee or you just want to take a break from doing reports or going on meetings.

3. Star Wars Rogue One Boots on the Ground

This will definitely cater more to geeks and Star Wars fans out there. This is a top down, survival game where you get to control a team consisting of three characters. The goal in this game is to shoot enemies and complete the various mini-missions which may include protecting people or destroying objects laid out in the level. Rogue One Boots on the Ground will also allow your players to collect first aid kids to restore their health. Plus there’s also an appealing special power option that lets your chosen character unleash a powerful attack to complete missions.

4. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtes: Road Riot

Racing games are also a good way of releasing stress. Road Riot is a browser-based racing game based around the current Ninja Turtles title “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” from Nickelodeon. The game will give you different missions and goals, something that you will need if you want to de-stress from working long hours in front of your computer.

5. Pool Club Online Pool

Playing pool aka billiards is fun and given the lockdown, most of the pool halls have been closed for more than a year already, we definitely want to recreate the experience of having to play pool. So this is the best option we have (unless you’ve got money and space to burn for you to actually buy a pool table for your house). Pool Club operates like all other pool games with the biggest difference is that there’s a time limit of 90 seconds and a 5 second bonus for each made shot. This is a game of strategy too so you need to clear the table of striped and solid balls within the 90 second time limit. You have to be creative and anaytic, something that may or may not be present in your current work.
