Who made a surprise cameo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3

There was a surprise cameo that happened in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3 and it has big ties to past Marvel Studios films namely Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War.

So before we proceed, here’s a quick spoiler alert for y’all.

Here’s the short version of the episode and the context pertaining to the surprise cameo. Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson decide to drop their difference and go get the villain Baron Zemo in Germany to get to the bottom of the mystery Flag Smashers group running amok in the world. They then go to Madripoor and connect with Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter who never got her job or her standing back after helping Steve Rogers, Sam and Bucky escape back in “Civil War”. When word got out that Baron Zemo has been busted out of prison, Wakanda makes its presence felt.

Bucky eventually meets up with the Wakandan agent sent to get Zemo for killing the former king, T’Chakka and its revealed to be Ayo…

Ayo was played by Florence Kasumba in Civil War and in “Falcon” she returns for the same role. And still looking to kill Zemo for killing their king.

If you don’t remember who Ayo is, she was the one that almost went head to head with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in Civil War.

Also loved this scene I posted above, you can clearly see Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa being amused at the idea of seeing a fight go down between Natasha and Ayo. We still don’t know how deep this will go but for me its a nice nod to the world built by Marvel for Wakanda and the history Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes now shares with the people of Wakanda.
