Marvel Legends Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings leaked photos go online
A batch of low res photos featuring the Marvel Legends Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been leaked online and shows the figures that will consist of the wave and the main Build-a-Figure too which happens to be Mr. Hyde.
So if you’re not fond of looking at spoilers, this is your SPOILER ALERT for the Marvel Studios film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which stars Simu Liu.
Of couse we all know that actor Simu Liu will be playing the titular Shang-Chi and he’s even shown off bits of the behind the scenes and some of his skills in preparation for the movie. I’m honestly not surprised that this wave didn’t have The Mandarin which was big ass retcon for the mess that Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 made for the character and the legend.
Wenwu will be played by Tony Chiu-Wai Leung. I don’t even want to assume that he would be a good guy. But hey, maybe he is or maybe he’ll be doing a Baron Mordo thing becoming a villain at the end.
Meng’er Zhang will be playing the character Xialing and she comes with a bunch of alternate hands and a whip. Honestly looking at these action figures, I can’t help but think that most parts of the “Shang-Chi” movie will be an adventure film. I’m down for that. Marvel Studios hasn’t done that specific genre let alone with an East Asian flavor to boot.
We can finally have an alternative to the classic Hand ninjas in the form of the Death Dealer. Or maybe I’m assuming too much and that this is actually a single character. But the figure does look like a generic bad guy type. Hope I’m wrong though.
This wave will also have another entry for the Marvel Gamerverse figures featuring the Civil Warrior who appeared in the game Contest of Champions. The character’s bio is basically saying that Captain America took on Tony Stark’s armor after his former friend fell during one of their fights during the big superhero “Civil War”.
Iron Man (A.I.)
This Tony Stark A.I. was already teased in a recent Hasbro Pulse Marvel Mondays online event. What we didn’t know back then was that he would be part of the “Shang-Chi” wave and that he would be having Mr Hyde’s BAF leg part.
Can’t argue with a big figure like Mr. Hyde so I’m down with this set. If I had the budget, I’d probably get Shang-Chi alone. Then get Civil Warrior.
