Doctor Doom is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy
We already posted an update for the new direction Guardians of the Galaxy will be taking on with writer Al Ewing and we discussed in passing who the team would be. Apparently, that wasn’t the full roster as Marvel has dropped a full spread promotional image for the current volume with a nice surprise too. Doctor Doom is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy!
The covers will be done by legendary artist Brett Booth who also recently did an issue of X-Men. Doom will appear in the cover of GOTG # 14 together with another team including Rocket, Moondragon, Quasar and Super Skrull.
This truly is a shock because the current stories don’t even hint at Doom deciding to just leave Latveria and Earth and join the cosmic Avengers on different adventures. New readers might be surprised by the sheer number of members on the reformed team but this isn’t the case because back when DnA were writing the book, they were juggling a big cast.
“One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn’t belong. What’s Doctor Doom doing here… and why? There’s only one way to find out,” Ewing teased.
