The Joker Movie Has a Rumored Name for the Joaquin Phoenix’s Character

Just days after the announcement of a new Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, we’re getting some big rumors including the actor’s name in this picture.

That Hashtag Show reports that the Joker in this film will be named Arthur Fleck and he returns to the chaotic Gotham City to take care of his ailing mother. The website also suggests that this unnamed mother of Phoenix’s character may have ties to the Wayne family which could make the rivalry between Batman and Joker all the more meatier.

Deadpool 2’s Zazzie Beets is also in-talks to appear in the movie as a single mother who Fleck interacts with on several occasions. Whether this role would have huge ramifications for the character or would help in converting “Fleck” into the Clown Prince of Prime is still up in the air.

Also waiting in the wings is actor Robert DeNiro who has frequently worked with the Joker movie’s producer Martin Scorsese. Who would he play? That’s still up in the air, but if you ask me, I would love to see him play Carmine “The Roman” Falcone, one of the mob bosses that Batman dethrones when he appeared in Gotham.

The Joker movie is set for release October 2019 from Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics.
