And now the winners for Project X – The Search for the Next Pinoy Superhero
Comic Con Asia 2018 may have been controversial as hell for a number of reasons but one thing that’s truly noble and truly aspires to find the greatness in Filipinos was the competition called Project X – The Search for the Next Pinoy Superheroes.
No surprise here, I have been tracking this competition’s movements since Day 1, when they announced the goal of Project X. Something admirable, and something that’s truly uplifting Pinoys when it comes to creating art and creating superheroes.
And I’m quite pleased with the turn out for the competition. All of the characters vibrant and had their own distinct look and feel while at the same time offering a great look at how talented Filipinos truly are.
Project X Winners Announced
There were more than a dozen contestants who sent in their own superhero creations but pretty much shared to the world their own little universe. And while they all gave the judges a hard time in deciding, there can only be three winners and at CCA 2018, we got to find out who’s the best among the rest.
Third Place: “REM” by Juilian Bautista
2nd Place: “CODENAME: HOUND” by Junvi Alabado
Grand Prize Winner: “MITO” by Manuel Felipe Donado
To quote their statement on their official Facebook page:
It was really a challenging task to our judges to pick through all the submissions because of the quality and unique stories presented. With that, we are very proud of all the finalists (and to all who took time to submit and join the contest).
We are also thankful for all the support and guidance given by our partners, sponsors, affiliates, friends, and the PROJ X community who shared our vision and help make this contest a success.
I’m definitely hoping they get to see showcase more stuff with the next Project X and I’m also hoping for good news for the winners of the inagural competition.
