Dark Nights: Metal # 4 Spoilers – The Fate of Hawkman and Hawkwoman
Dark Nights: Metal # 4 spoilers incoming. We’re taking a look at the fate of Hawkman and Hawkwoman/Hawkgirl in this new issue from the twisted minds of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
So a bit of catch up on where the lead characters are. Batman and Superman are imprisoned in the Dark Multiverse after Barbatos tricked Superman into following Bruce Wayne. Wonder Woman and her team are in the Rock of Eternity. Green Lantern, Mr. Terrific and the Plastic Egg are in space, Aquaman and Deathstroke are in Atlantis.
Wonder Woman and her team fight their way to the very heart of the Rock of Eternity. They even had to fight the sentient “Evils” that have lined up the Rock’s hallways as decorations by the wizard Shazam.
When they beat their enemies, they get to where they need to be. Only problem is that Sheyera started to deviate from the original plan.
Before Kendra throws the Astral Brain, essentially turning it into a bomb that will explode when it reaches the Dark Multiverse, something happens to her.
So goodbye Kendra and hello Lady Blackhawk.
Meanwhile over at Batman and Superman’s story arc, they get a last minute rescue from Daniel, the new Dream and they get to chill out with Dream in his abode.
Anyway, they press on with the hopes of getting to the heart of the Dark Universe and find a way to stop Barbatos, who has been revealed to the dragon that killed the master of the world forge and started giving life to the dark universe (thus we have the evil Batmen aka the Dark Knights).
When they reach their destination, they find out that Barbatos has essentially enslaved Hawkman aka Carter Hall.
Things are getting more interesting as the story deepens with Dark Nights: Metal # 4 with Carter’s soul pretty much reborn as the new Dragon of the Dark / World Forge and with Barbatos taking over as the new master of the same forge.
