Jean Grey and the Phoenix versus Galactus and Terrax

Here’s an interesting match we never considered, Jean Grey and the Phoenix versus Galactus and Terrax. This happened in the pages of Generations – Phoenix and Jean Grey by Cullen Bunn and RB Silva.

In this one shot, time displaced Original 5 Jean Grey, the leader of Magneto’s X-Men team gets shunted to the past by an unknown force. There she meets her past/ future self, the Phoenix. They do a lot of stuff together before eventually launching themselves to space.

In space, they reach a planet that seems to be in distress.

As they respond to this planet’s SOS, Young Jean and adult Jean find out who makes all these natives flee for their lives.

Galactus and Terrax in Generations – Jean Grey and Phoenix

The main conflict here is that Galactus wants to devour the planet while this planet was under the protection of Jean Grey… Before she becomes the Dark Phoenix sometime later.

Phoenix Jean makes quick work of Terrax and saves a bunch of natives from being killed.

O5 Jean makes a good argument though, as to who these aliens fear. Is the Phoenix more scarier than Galactus? Or is it the other way around.

Seeing that Phoenix is losing, O5 tries to go and save her future/past self.

So while this Jean Grey and Phoenix vs Galactus and Terrax clearly shows who wins, there’s still a lot more thats happening in this issue. Including an appearance of The Watcher.
