Encantadia Gets Reboot with 4 New Sangres Including Glaiza DeCastro and Kylie Padilla
Nexcon was the first to break the news but now the cat is out of the bag for Encantadia with GMA 7 finally revealing majority of the cast topbilled by Kylie Padilla and Glaize DeCastro.

The reveal was done in last night’s episode of 24 Oras where they also shared the other cast members. It totally looks like a full reboot.
Let’s focus on Sangre’s first. The eldest of the bunch is Pirena played by Glaiza DeCastro (who has finally gotten the break she deserves).
Kylie Padilla will be playing the role of Amihan which was originally played by Iza Calzado…

Gabbi Garcia will be playing the role of Alena originally played by Karylle Tatlonghari. Sorry dear readers, I dont have much about Gabbi so I can’t say if she’s a good fit or not.
Lastly, newcomer Sanya Lopez will be joining the rebooted series as Danaya. The character was originally played by Diana Zubiri.

Even more interesting, John Arcilla has been cast as the 2016 version of Haring Hator taking over another veteran actor, Pen Medina. Oh and they also say that there’ll be a total of eight different armors for the four main characters with these armors appearing at various parts of the story.
I like that. It feels like some of the creatives are actually playing RPG games and know the value of these little upgrades in a fantasy story. So kudos to them.
