So in this issue, we continue to see what how the New York based heroes try to defend the city as they also evacuate the citizens. But they are having problems. Black Panther can’t teleport the people using the Wakandan technology because Dario Agger has used his ROXXON tech team to hack everything in the world. Meanwhile Doctor Strange can’t use his teleportation spells too because its being tampered by unknown forces.

In the midst of all this, Jane Foster tries to look for Malekith in the battlefield in the hopes of ending him and stop the war once and for all. Also Odin survives his ambush and has teleported to Earth together with his Valkyries.

Jane Foster and Valkyrie team up as they go for Malekith…

Due to sneak attack by Laufey, Odin is critically injured and retreats just in time too as Jane managed to cut off the source of whatever’s blocking Stephen Strange from casting his spell.

They are all teleported back to Avengers Mountain while Brunhilde and the rest of the Valkyries make a valiant last stand against Malekith’s forces.

In the base, Freyja decides to go on a suicide mission to rescue her son Thor from the Frost Giants and delegates Jane Foster as the new All-Mother for the nation of Asgard. Odin is indispensed too as his injuries require him to go through the Odinsleep. Jane however is disturbed with the images from New York where most of the Valkyries have been slaughtered.

back in New York, Brunhilde makes her final stand as she calls out Malekith to face her once more…

But she is cut down and beheaded by Malekith from behind her back.

That’s just plain disturbing. Man it went Game of Thrones all of a sudden there.

So that’s one dead Avenger and one former Avenger alive
