One of the more interesting things that popped out of the season finale of Gotham is Cobblepot’s plans for the Iceberg Lounge. Long time Batman fans and DC comic book readers know what it is but its time to let the public in on the secret.

POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR GOTHAM’S SEASON FINALE

In the season finale, we find out that Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) has plans for expansion now that some of his bitter rivals are dead or would-want-to-be-dead. In one scene we get to see his plans for the future Iceberg Lounge all drawn on paper…

And with Edward Nygma out of the way (for now) who’s to stop him from getting (or building) what he wants.

So what should we know about the Iceberg Lounge?

First Appearance

The place was introduced in Detective Comics # 683 and has always been this upscale nightclub owned and operated by the Penguin. In the canon, the Iceberg Lounge had been Cobblepot’s legitimate source of income when he went straight for a time. But the Batman rogue proved that crime is somewhat hard to resist so the Lounge became his new base of operations.
