BlizzCon 2016 – Play the Original Diablo Game in Diablo III
As part of the 20th anniversary of the release of Blizzard’s Diablo, Blizzard has announced during BlizzCon 2016, that the original Diablo game will be remade and added to the current Diablo installment, Diablo III.
The game company has announced that the remake version of Diablo 1 will be included in an upcoming patch that will also feature a total of 16 dungeon levels and the four main bosses for the game.
Here’s Blizzard’s sort of press release:
Celebrate 20 years of Diablo by traveling back into the depths of the Cathedral where it all began in this upcoming Diablo III: Reaper of Souls content update. Get ready to explore a monster-filled dungeon 16 levels deep, and come face to face with the four main bosses from the original game—all with retro touches like special graphics filters and eight-direction character movement.
I dunno about you guys but being able to demolish Skeleton King and the Butcher in beautifully rendered graphics is something I’ve dreamed of since setting foot in old Tristram.
