Mark Millar and Greg Capullo team up for Project entitled REBORN

“Kick-Ass” and “Kingsman” creator Mark Millar is once again teaming up with another high profile artist for another high profile, it-could-be-a-movie-soon project called Reborn.

The project is described as:

It’s not Heaven. It’s not Hell. It’s as real and hard as where we live now, but filled with the most amazing fantasy landscapes, jaw-dropping creatures and a battle raging between good and evil. The people she loved are in this world — her father and her childhood dog — but oddly, not her husband who had passed over 14 years before. So she sets out to find him. She realizes that she has been reborn as a 25 year-old woman with a sword in her hand and gun of her hip.

CBR shares the story and I have to say I love the idea. About a wife reborn into a younger body in the afterlife looking for her husband in a fantasy setting/wasteland. Sounds cool and uh oh, it kinda reminds me of Sucker Punch.

OK, that was too drastic a comparison, still this proves to be a rather interesting title. Millar kind of veered off from his masterpieces in the past but he’s got something unique going on. He’s got the ability to turn his stuff into movie projects. I’m talking about Kick-Ass, Kingsman and last I heard they were developing Nemesis and Superior too.

Greg Capullo is also an excellent artist and I could pay $20 for an artbook of his drawings of Mickey Mouse and I would be floored still. Just check out his work on Batman with Scott Snyder if you really need more proof.

So right, Reborn is set for release October 2016
