Superman vs Lex Luthor Fight for Man of Tomorrow shows off Luthor’s new armor

James Gunn continues to show his love and appreciation for the Superman lore as seen with the outdoor shoot for the Superman sequel titled “Man of Tomorrow” featuring a fight between Superman and Lex Luthor in his oversized battle armor.

There’s a lot to discuss here so let’s fucking go.

For starters I’d like to think that this is going to be in the first act of the movie but it could also be the third act. This could be a segment that shows us that Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor has new tech that could hurt David Corenswet’s Superman. It also looks like our favorite Superman baddie has actually managed to rough up Superman to some extent. Above you can also see that he’s aimed a gun at Clark which could be a Kryptonite powered gun; something of a gift from the teased baddie for the movie, Brainiac.

Whatever Corenswet is holding here in this scene looks like its going to be CGI’ed later in editing and post-production. This could also be the same Brainiac gun that Lex was holding in the photo above. Or it could be some fallen alien tech that’s lying around that saves Superman from being fried.

Next photo we have is a closer look at our bald-headed baddie still in his armor and still in character. Looking at this closer, you can really see all the details that they placed for the battle armor. Not sure if it’s Kryptonian or is powered by Kryptonite but it really resembles that  version that Ed McGuinnes did back when he was doing interior and cover for Superman/Batman with Jeph Loeb.

Lastly for this batch is a look at Superman in a very battle-damaged costume. The waist area having a big burn mark, meaning that this could really be Kryptonite related or something more powerful.
