Marvel’s Wolverine moves a lot further in terms of updates and promotion with all new details about the game announced at the Playstation State of Play 2026!
The game is being developed by Insomniac Games, the same studio that brought us Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This time the studio tackles the world of the X-Men and Marvel’s merry mutants starting off with the most popular character in that corner of the universe, the feral mutant Wolverine.

As you can see from the trailer above, the game gets bloodier and gorier as time goes by and fans of the character know that that is par for the course.
Marvel’s Wolverine is directed by Marcus Smith and Mike Daly and written by Mary Kenney, Walt Williams, Joe Halstead and Nick Folkman. It is scheduled for release exclusively on the Playstation 5 starting September 15, 2026.

Sadly, Jean won’t be a playable character but rather a supporting character and NPC.
