New X-Men 97 season 2 promotional images teasing more X-Teams

Marvel and Disney+ has revealed new X-Men 97 season 2 promotional images hinting at some exciting teams we might see in the new season.

Above you’ll see an updated look for Cyclops and Jean Grey who was thrust into the future to be with a young Cable aka Nathan Christopher Summers who they also said goodbye at the end of the X-Men 97 season 1 before they get zapped throughout time. This new look borrows some elements from the limited series “Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix” which also copies their plot.

The second group includes Magneto, Nightcrawler, Beast and Rogue will also get a new look for their adventure in 3000BC Egypt adventure. I’m guessing this will also be the reason why Bishop is in this photo set because he’ll be the one to find these X-Men and bring them back to the present.

The other missing X-Men who we didn’t see at the end of season 1 also gets some visual updates namely Wolverine and Storm as well as Jubilee and Sunspot.

I’m also excited to see the various X-Teams that will pop up in the next season including X-Force and X-Factor

And since we didn’t get the New Mutants in this series (that happened in X-Men Evolution mind you) we have a slightly different X-Force which features classic Cable and Sunspot in his 90s X-Force costume. We also get Archangel and Psylocke joining the team. And mind you, they were eventual part of X-Force around the Utopia era of the X-Men.

Then we also have X-Factor which will also include Valerie Cooper who made a lot of big mistakes in Season 1 and looks like she’s making ammends with her government-sponsored mutant team.
