Here’s my HONOR 600 review, which is already available now, which features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display, 7000 mAh battery, 200 MP main camera, 50MP selfie camera and more! The smartphone is now on pre-order with pre-order price of ₱25,999 from May 14 to May 29 and SRP of ₱28,999 moving forward.

HONOR 600 Review – Design

The HONOR 600 comes with three variations, namely Orange, Golden White, and Black. The review unit I received was the white color, which is pretty, but I’m seriously suggesting you get the orange because it looks like that massively popular smartphone people can’t stop talking about. The plastic unibody has this very minimalist approach just a clean and simple design that stands out especially the orange variant. Even the cameras have been moved around a bit as well as the grooves and the bumps significantly lowered compared the the last release which was the HONOR 400 Pro.

Another “Anything is Possible with HONOR 600” moment comes in the IP design our friends at HONOR Philippines and HONOR Global designed for this series. Yes, this one has IP68, IP69, and IP69K design, meaning it’s once again dust- resistant and water-resistant and perfect for your upcoming summer activities.

There’s also a special AI button located at the bottom part of the phone that lets you circle images and use AI and Google to quickly identify it for you.

HONOR 600 Review – Display

The HONOR 600 comes with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 1264 x 2728 resolution, providing good-quality images, whether it’s for social media or gaming, to some extent. The screen size is perfect for me, and the 91.2% screen-to-body ratio is also good enough for your entertainment and gaming needs. Brightness is also another factor that I considered with this review for the HONOR 600, and on that it gets good marks, especially since it’s hitting 8000 nits, which really illuminates an entire dark room. And in case that’s not enough brightness for you, there’s also Sunlight Mode available for the HONOR 600.

HONOR 600 Review – Camera

HONOR’s latest smartphone also has a competent and promising camera system. The main camera comes with a 200 MP with f/1.9, (wide), 1/1.4″, 0.56µm, PDAF, OIS and then there’s also the 12 MP, f/2.2, 112˚ (ultrawide), AF

The main camera also comes with a color spectrum sensor, LED flash, which you can see at the back, and several options, including HDR and Panorama mode. Here are some sample shots using the HONOR 600 main camera:

The video output using the main camera can reach 4K quality and it’s also got 1080p option and some built-in OIS, assuring you get some really vivid footage for your various activities and content creation projects. AI features

AI Upscale – With AI upscale you can use generative AI to complete a photo or expand it. There was something like this with the previous model but were getting an improved version with the HONOR 600.

As you can see, I even have a bracelet, and my shirt suddenly got a weird print on it.

It also has the now-classic AI eraser option which worked better than the last version.

Another AI Image to Video feature that both guys and girls can enjoy is the Magic Wardrobe feature. In this option, you can input a single image of yourself and use the AI prompts to animate the photo and changing the clothes that your photo is wearing. Here’s a sample:

UX and UI

The HONOR 600 runs on both Android 16 and MagicOS 10, meaning it’s up to date with the latest patches and versions in terms of Operating Systems. And if you’re the type who takes years before upgrading to a new smartphone, then you’ll be glad to know the HONOR 600 can last up to 6 major OS updates, meaning by the time it’s Android 22, the phone should still work well. Having the Qualcomm SM7750-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4 nm) also strengthened the belief that anything is possible with the HONOR 600 because it assures users, especially heavy users, that they won’t experience any lag or slowdowns when using the phone. It also gives us HONOR fans the assurance that we can multi-task using the phone without getting any significant performance issues.

Still on the subject of improvements, the HONOR 600’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset promises to deliver 27% improvement for CPU performance, 30% improvement on GPU Performance to make your games run smoother and better and 65% improvement on NPU performance.

Battery

The HONOR 600 will have already impressed you with the battery on it which is 7000mAh and it also has 80W fast charging letting your phone go from 0 to 50% in under 30 minutes. The only sad part here amidst the fast charging and good battery life is the lack of wireless charging. It would have been great to have that feature considering our technology is slowly embracing wireless charging. But still it’s not a super biggie but it could have been better.

HONOR 600 REVIEW – VERDICT

If you want a solid phone that focuses on AI Imaging and magic working harmoniously with other elements such as a good camera, a dependable battery and solid build and look then the HONOR 600 is for you. Here’s my breakdown:
