Gen V Producers confirm no recasting for Chance Perdomo’s character
The producers for The Boys spinoff show Gen V recently confirmed that there won’t be any recasting happening for Gen V season particularly for the character played by recently deceased actor Chance Perdomo.
The actor recently passed away due to a motoring accident and it has devastated the cast and crew.

The show will pivot away from using the character Andre played by Perdomos as it moves forward with the story.
Gen V is an American superhero television series, developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, serving as a spin-off of The Boys by Kripke, and based on The Boys comic book story arc “We Gotta Go Now” by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn in main roles.
Gen V serves as the third television series in The Boys franchise and its first season is set concurrently with the fourth season of The Boys. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on September 29, 2023, and received mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised the cast performances.
In October 2023, less than a month after its premiere, Gen V was renewed for a second season.
