Mary Jane Watson gets new costume and codename in Amazing Spider-Man # 31
Marvel is officially bumping up former Spider-Man spouse and long time supporting character Mary Jane Watson some new superhero codename, costume and powers starting in Amazing Spider-Man # 31.
Check out MJ’s new costume as “Jackpot” after the cut.
This kind of answers why she had powers to fight back and protect herself in Amazing Spider-Man # 26 which was also the issue where the Death of Ms Marvel Kamala Khan happened. And this was also the power that was showcased in the Mary Jane and Black Cat miniseries from a few months back with writer Jed McCay.
Marvel also revealed in their website that issue 31 will also the launching points of several story beats for ASM as well as other Spider-Man related spinoffs including a still unannounced “Jackpot” limited series with no creative team attached to it yet.
