Ostiya Review – Ateneo student takes home ostiya and makes controversial Twitter review

Trending story today is this post which is an “ostiya review” published on Twitter by an Ateneo student.

So it turns out that the kid attended mass, took the host or “ostiya” home, took a photo of it and uploaded the photo on Twitter where it was captioned much like a social media food review.

This garnered negative attention from the Ateneo community as well as the Twitter community.

And in no time, Ateneo officials had released an official statement regarding the matter.

So yeah, the act itself was deemed as a “sacrilege” by the priests running the school. Based on the official statement there’s also a silver lining as the religious organization has called for forgiveness and compassion.
