New Shin Kamen Rider poster reveals film’s release date in Japan
Toei recently released a new Shin Kamen Rider poster that updates fans on the film’s release date, at least in Japan anyway while giving us a good look at Sosuke Ikematsu as the modern version of Kamen Rider 1’s Takeshi Hongo!
Check out the entire poster down below:
As stated, the Shin Kamen Rider movie is set to premiere March 2023. This means we’re only a few months away from getting a seriously huge amount of info dump from this “reimagining” of the Kamen Rider lore by Evangelion‘s own Hideaki Anno.
Check out the film’s trailer below:
And here’s the premise for the film:
College student and motorcycle enthusiast Takeshi Hongo is abducted by the evil organization Sustainable Happiness Organization with Computational Knowledge Embedded Remodeling, otherwise known as “Shocker”, and converted into the cyborg Batta Augment-01 as part of their plans for world domination. Before they can brainwash him to do their bidding, he escapes and uses his new enhanced abilities, renaming himself Kamen Rider, to wage a one-man war against Shocker.
The film stars Sosuke Ikematsu as Takeshi Hongo, the man who will transform into the cyborg Batta Augment-01, Kamen Rider, Minami Hamabe as Ruriko Midorikawa and Tasuku Emoto as Hayato Ichimonji, the man who will transform into the cyborg Batta Augment-02, Kamen Rider No. 2
