In the comics, Star Sapphire is an entity that searches for being with tremendous ability to love and has often zero’ed in on Hal Jordan’s former lover Carol Ferris. The entity and the character has often teamed up with the villains of the DC Universe including the Legion of Doom and the Injustice Gang.

One of the most memorable moments for the character is restructuring the Star Sapphires, turning them into an equal for the the Green Lantern Corps and helping the team in various moments and events and titles like the Brightest Day event and to some extent, Blackest Night.
