vivo Y76 5G Review

Here’s my vivo Y76 5G Review which is now out in the market for SRP ₱14,999.00 featuring 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display, 50MP read cam and more!

First the unboxing video:

Design

The vivo Y76 comes into two colors namely Cosmic Aurora and Midnight Space and made mostly of plastic. It’s also decently light clocking in at 175g. In my case, I got the Cosmic Aurora review unit. Kinda like this one more than Midnight Space.

Nothing really notable about the design other than the placement of the volume rocker and the power button being on the right hand side of the phone.

The smartphone is also both slim and light and perfect for whatever you plan to do. The weight  clocks in around 175 grams and the Ultra Slim Design which is around 7.79mm.

Display

The display for this smartphone wants to give users a “‘Big-screen’ Experience” and they managed to achieve that goal. For starters, it feaures a 6.58″ Full HD Display + Incell screen and a 2408×1080 resolution to give you more vivid imagery and clearer photos and videos.

The vivo Y76 5G features 20:9 aspect ratio…

a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio and 96% NTSC color gamut; 460NIT brightness.

Camera

The vivo Y76 5G camera is also pretty good with the price point and the quality. This smartphone features a 50MP Main Rear Camera + 2MP Macro camera + 2MP Bokeh camera.

There’s also a nice and sharp contrast when you go with night mode.

Other features for the vivo Y76 5G includes:

  • 50MP
  • Panoramic view
  • Live Photo
  • Slo-Mo
  • Time-Lapse
  • Pro Mode
  • AR Stickers
  • Documents
  • Double Exposure
  • Dual View

The Selfie camera is also decent. We get 16MP AI Extreme selfie camera with Night Selfie option. Using the normal mode, you get decent shots with the selfie camera. Manage your expectations though because its only limited to get 16 megapixels.

The night mode selfie is also good however, this one factor that makes up for a rather so-so selfie/ front camera.

Other regular stuff are also present including beautification, make up mode and more.

Battery

While it only packs 4100mAh, I’m surprised that it can take the same amount of heavy gaming usage as my daily driver smartphone. And that’s partially due to the Mediatek Dimensity 700 which has been known to distribute and use power efficiently for smartphones.

And there’s very little to no heating issues with this midrange smartphone.

This smartphone also features a 44W FlashCharge system that makes things faster when it comes to charging especially when you want to get back to your activity whether its streaming a movie or playing games.

Performance and UI/UX

The vivo Y76 5G runs on Funtouch OS 12; Funtouch OS 12 makes a refreshing debut. With a neat design and simple touch controls, it presents a natural, eye-friendly layout that also improves user experience.

Multi-Turbo

If you’re the type who runs multiple apps at the same time, vivo has your back. This phone features Multi-Turbo which partly utilizes a five-dimensional liquid cooling system that also measures the phone’s temperature by 10 degrees.

Ultra Game Mode 2.0

We also get an updated version of the Ultra Game Mode to make for a smooth gaming experience. Like the original version, users can shift between different modes with different outputs including “Performance”, “Balanced” and “Battery Saver”. There’s also a dynamic dashboard that displays important parameters including the CPU and the GPU and even gaming time.

Storage and Memory

The Y76 5G has a total of 12GB with the standard 8GB and an additional 4GB Extended RAM3-4.
