Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 2 Spoilers – Did they really kill this Rebels Baddie?

Time to go and discus Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 2 spoilers as we get a new episode this week which continues the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi between the events of “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope”.

Before we proceed, SPOILER ALERT…

So towards the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 2, we find Obi-Wan and Leia Organa running away from the bounty hunters hunting them down in the streets of Daiyu. The Second Sister aka Reva was responsible for squeezing them out with the goal of capturing Kenobi. Thanks to Haja (Kumail Nanjiani) they are able to get to a ship that can get them off-world but Reva is on hot pursuit of them.

Obi-Wan asks Leia to wait for him by the ship as he tries to lose Reva off their tail. Kenobi plays cat and mouse with Reva inside the warehouse and before she catches up to him, the Grand Inquisitor arrives. He orders Reva to stand down so that he can take the credit for capturing Kenobi. This angers Reva and she stabs him with her lightsaber.

This gives Kenobi enough time to run back and board the ship at the cost of his emotions especially after it was revealed to him that Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader is alive.

But did they really kill the Grand Inquisitor before his canonical death?

Maybe not.

Unless the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is rewriting Disney/Star Wars canon, then we won’t see the Grand Inquisitor dead as he dies in a lightsaber duel in Star Wars: Rebels against Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus.

So what could happen? Maybe they’ll reveal that he survives this attack by using the Force or that the other Inquisitors managed to save him in time. But without OWK episode 3 out, the verdict is still out on how exactly he survives.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is now streaming on Disney+ and stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma and more!
