GMA Launches Artikulo 247
GMA Network continues to set the standard for legal drama and telenovelas with their new afternoon series Artikulo 247 starring Rhian Ramos, Kris Bernal, Benjamin Alves and Mark Herras which starts airing March 7!
In the real world, Article 247 or Artikulo 247 states that “any legally married person who having surprised his spouse in the act of committing sexual intercourse with another person, shall kill any of them or both of them in the act or immediately thereafter, or shall inflict upon them any serious physical injury, shall suffer the penalty of destierro (banishment).” And that is the main premise of the series.
This is also going to be a series about a woman’s journey moving on from an affair with her boss and his wife and how she rebuilds her life until the ghost of her past returns.
Rhian Ramos plays Jane Ortega, the woman who found herself in an affair with a married man.
Benjamin Alves plays Noah Borromeo, a man who is slowly standing back up after the terrible heartbreak.
Kris Bernal is taking contrabida roles to the next level with her role as Klaire Almazan/Carmen Villarama, the manipulative wife who kills her husband and might just get away with it.
The cast is rounded up by Mark Herras who plays Elijah Borromeo, the man in love with Bernal’s Carmen and the brother of Noah.
Rhian reveals feeling challenged with her role in the series, “It was a very difficult and challenging role pero hindi ako nagdalawang-isip na tanggapin ang project na ito dahil dito ako may matututunan. Script wise, it was an enjoyable script to get into and to perform.”

Creative team for the show includes Aloy Adlawan, Dode Cruz, Des Garbes-Severino (headwriter) and writers Benson Longronio and Jmee Katanyag. The series will be directed by Jorron Lee Monroy and Jorron Lee Monroy
The show is spearheaded by GMA Entertainment Group headed by SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, VP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Camille D. Hermoso, and Executive Producer Mavic Tagbo.
