Marvel teases the next era for the X-Men and Krakoa in the first Destiny of X teaser

Marvel just started teasing the next chapter for Marvel’s merry mutants in this first Destiny of X teaser which may pick up the pieces of the events of Inferno.

The teaser comes in a black background with a quote from Irene Adler. It says “There is no “the” future. There is no Destiny”.

In the current ongoing miniseries Inferno by Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Casselli, we find out that Mystique managed to revive her spouse Irene Adler aka Destiny behind the backs of the islands founders Magneto and Charles Xavier. And then not only does she revive Destiny, she also manages to get her a seat in the controlling minority, the Quiet Council. The last issue ends with Magneto and Xavier pulling some strings to bring in somebody they can trust…

Its still up in the air whether Jonathan Hickman will be handling this but from how things are going, Hickman would be stepping away from the book. I’m betting that current X-Men writer Gerry Duggan could be writing this but we’ll have to wait and see in the coming months to find out.
