The film is a Filipino adaptation of the 2009 South Korean blockbuster hit of the same name. In it, Santos plays K, a guy who harbors secret feelings towards his best friend Cream (played by Pressman). After knowing that he has terminal cancer, he decides to set Cream up with another man while keeping his condition a secret from her.

More Than Blue also stars Diego Loyzaga and Ariella Arida. It is directed by Nuel Nava, who also worked on the hit Miracle in Cell No. 7 remake. Meanwhile, the original South Korean movie starred Lee Bo-young as Cream and Kwon Sang-woo as K.
