Utraman season 2 announced! Coming to Netflix in 2022

Ultraman is coming back as Netflix has officially announced Ultraman season 2 which is slated for release in 2022 exclusive to Netflix.

There will be a number of new characters joining the team. We’re seeing Shinjiro Hayata (Ultraman), Dan Moroboshi aka Ultraseven and Seiji Hokuto aka Ultraman Ace. In the first season, we also got introduced to the mysterious Jack who had signs pointing to him being a potential Ultraman and this poster confirms that he will be Ultraman Jack in this upcoming season. Spoiler alert for the manga, he officially joins the team as another member of the Science team.

Here’s the logline for the series plus some additional information:

Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary “Giant of Light” (光の巨人 Hikari no Kyojin) now a memory, as it is believed he returned home after fighting the many giant aliens that invaded the Earth. Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman.
