Onmyoji 3.5th Anniversary Campaign Has Begun! SSR Asura Is Now Available!
NetEase Games has announced the 3.5th anniversary celebrations for the award-winning Onmyoji, which involves log-in rewards, summoning events, and the arrival of the highly-anticipated SSR Asura to the game.
GUANGZHOU, China – June 23, 2021— Today, NetEase Games has revealed what’s in store for the 3.5th anniversary of Onymoji, the popular free-to-play turn-based RPG, where players craft a team of shikigami, in order to take part in PvP and PvE battles. Onymoji has been praised by fans and critics alike, for its beautiful visuals, engaging storyline that is steeped in Japanese mythology, and highly tactical combat system.
The 3.5th anniversary celebrations for Onymoji will give the players the chance to summon more shikigami and add them to their team. From June 23rd to June 29th, the first summon made each day with a Mystery Amulet will be free of charge. Players will also have a chance to earn a Moon Amulet from June 23rd to July 4th. Those who summon a shikigami using a Mystery Amulet, Jade, or AR Amulet 520 times throughout the course of the event will receive a Moon Amulet, which can be used to summon an SSR-grade shikigami from a select pool of creatures. There will also be special bonuses for players who log-in to Onymoji throughout the event, which will be revealed at a later date.
SSR Asura Has Arrived!
The former hero and current enemy of the Celestials has arrived! Players will be able to form a pact with SSR Asura when he arrives in Onymoji on June 23rd. Asura was cast into the Abyss, where he feasted upon the flesh of sinners in order to gain more power. Once he became strong enough, he united an army of demons and monsters, so they could wage war against the Celestial Realm. Onymoji players finally have the chance to unleash Asura’s power against their foes. To celebrate SSR Asura’s arrival in Onymoji, the drop rate for SSR shikigami will increase by 2.5x from June 23rd to July 4th. Asura is voiced by veteran voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi.
Players will also have a chance to earn free Mystery Amulets and SSR shigikami as part of the “Standing By Us! Gifts For You” web event, which will run from June 19th to June 26th. By checking out the event link from their Facebook or Twitter accounts, players can win special prizes, including in-game rewards, a $1000 cash prize, and a Nintendo Switch. Players can invite up to five friends in order to earn stage rewards, which include in-game items and a special 3.5th Limited Frame. There is also a Double Jackpot Event on June 26, where a player who has invited two friends can earn prizes for themselves and the first person they invited.
