Netflix teases completion of Resident Evil Live Action series script
Netflix is hard at work developing content for their platform and one of those projects is the Resident Evil live action series which is due either 2021 or 2022.
Check out the material they posted on their NX Facebook page together with the synopsis for the series.
When the Wesker kids move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover might just be the end of everything. Resident Evil, a new live action series based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix.
Check out the image for the script below:
This episode, the pilot episode, was written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Bronwen Hughes. It’s also apparently co-produced by Constantin Films. The same production company that made all the Resident Evil movies which starred Milla Jovovich as the badass Alice.
Hmmm. I’m not too keen on the terms “Wesker Kids” and “New Raccoon City”. Plus there’s also trouble in paradise with the Avatar project hitting a snag with the creators leaving due to creative differences with the streaming giant.
I know they’ll find a way to introduce the “Wesker Kids” but for me, in my head canon, the only spawn of Albert Wesker is Jake Muller from Resident Evil 6.
and while it reads that I’m up in arms over this new series, its quite the opposite. But I guess, I just have to lower my expectations and not even think that they would get somebody from Capcom to develop the story.
