Zack Snyder’s Justice League Snyder Cut is Happening! Set for 2021 on HBO Max
We did it! Zack Snyder’s Justice League will finally see the light of day! That’s right, the Snyder Cut is coming soon!
This is apparently super different from the 2017 Justice League that came out in theaters. But the Snyder Cut will still feature the film’s stars namely Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
Here’s the context behind this.
Snyder had to bow out of production of Justice League due to the death of his daughter. WB calls in “Avengers” director Joss Whedon to soldier on production. Along the way there were a lot of changes done to the script and story; a lot of reshoots had taken place and the result was a patchwork that fans did not like.
So when he’s finally able to bounce back, Snyder starts a movement to get HIS version of Justice League back in the game which includes some cool stuff like a tease for a Green Lantern, the Black Costume Superman and Darkseid making an appearance as opposed to having a second stringer like Steppenwolf.
We also get a lot of exposition for the Snyder Cut including a meatier backstory for Victor Stone aka Cyborg. We already saw bits of that in the trailers and TV spots.
Also it’s nice to know that Jason Momoa was right on the money to show support for the director. He’s also one of the few people who have seen the cut in it’s first form.
And yeah, this series is going to appear on HBO Max. This could either be a six episode miniseries or it could be a four hour film. So what do you guys think about the Justice League Snyder Cut? Follow me on Twitter at @thefanboyseo for more geek news and updates!
