DC Comics gives Wonder Woman legacy numbering, confirms she’s the first super hero in history
Wonder Woman # 750 is just around the number and it looks like DC Comics is bringing Diana’s original numbering back.
Dan Didio recently revealed that Diana will be following the other Trinity members Batman and Superman who has had their legacy numberings back on their books namely Detective Comics and Action Comics.
Even better is the fact that they will be making a big continuity change by revealing that Wonder Woman IS the first hero that the world has known within the canon.
This retcon will happen in Wonder Woman # 750 with script by Scott Snyder and art by Bryan Hitch.
In a Facebook Q&A with retailers, Didio had this to say:
There’s been a lot of chatter, myself included, about our timeline. The purpose is to bring in a baseline of storytelling that brings a level of consistency and more uniformity in the interpretations of the characters. We are looking to build a series of books that will re-tell the history of the DC Universe. In some ways, that will become our bible for the DC Universe.
This should be exciting seeing that 2020 is also the year we get to see Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and The Mandalorian himself, Pedro Pascal.
Wonder Woman # 750 is expected to be released January 22.
