Ghostbusters Afterlife Trailer Connects new cast with former Ghostbuster

There’s a lot to take in with the release of the first Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer but the biggest one is the connection of the new cast with a former Ghostbuster. Check out the trailer below:

Apparently the two younger cast members McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard are Egon Spengler’s grandchildren and it was just about right that they find out about their grandfather’s history and equipment.

And also Paul Rudd as a school teacher who was around at the time of the events of the first movie was just awesome.

The new movie is set in the same timeline as the original film’s with a actors Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd and Ernie Hudson all part of the film reprising their roles. This is a far cry from the much-maligned Ghostbusters reboot directed by Paul Feig which starred Melissa McCarthy and Kristin Wigg.

Ghostbusters Afterlife is scheduled for release some time 2020.
