Classic Avengers Villain Revealed as Mastermind of Celestial Attack – Avengers # 2 Spoilers

This week’s Avengers # 2 ups the ante for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with the reveal of the real mastermind for last issue’s Celestial/ Final Host attack. Avengers # 2 spoilers now up and running.

Again, before we proceed, we have an active Avengers # 2 spoilers in effect for this post.

The issue follows most team book tropes we’ve got the members of the team doing their own thing all over the world. The Big Three (Captain America, Thor and Iron Man) together with Captain Marvel are in New York trying to battle the “Final Host”, a bunch of scary looking Celestials who come to Earth to “cure” it.

In between the dialogue, the main narrator slowly reveals why he wants to be considered an Avenger. Towards the issue’s end, as Captain Marvel and Thor do another round of attack, Captain America gets trapped in what appears to be a containment field.

As the four Avengers experience pain, the mastermind finally reveals himself as none other than…
