Cable Renumbers to Cable # 150, Brings in ‘Newer Mutants’

Cable isn’t safe from the renumbering monster that is Marvel Legacy as its been recently revealed that the newly minted volume of Cable’s adventures will return to its original numbering making it Cable # 150 now.

The numbering of the series puts the spotlight on how the Legacy numbering system is flawed as well. This has prompted fans to call it out. Even I’m a bit angry because they didn’t add into the count Cable/ Deadpool which was really an awesome superhero buddy book. But that’s for a separate post.

And here’s how Marvel came up with Cable # 150…

The new creative team for Cable # 150 would be writer Ed Brisson and artist Jon Malin. Here’s what Brisson had to say about his run on Cable.

I think one of the marks of a good team leader is the ability to recognize holes in your team and bringing in members to fill those gaps. Not only fill those deficiencies, but also know the best way to utilize each member in order to get the job done. Cable is pragmatic. For him, there’s the mission and his only focus is not failing it. He’s not going to let his own ego get in the way of that. Nor is he going to abide by anyone else’s ego. Each member of the team, in this case specifically – and in a very clinical sense – is a tool needed to achieve their objective.

Here’s the official solicit too.
