Plastic Man Gets Solo Book with Gail Simone and Adirana Melo

DC Comics goes for broke with Plastic Man with the announcement of a new limited series starring Plas which would be written by Gail Simone with interior art by Adirana Melo.

This series won’t be running side by side with the ongoing adventures of Plas together with his new team calles The Terrifics but Gail Simone promises it to be a helluva fun book.

Simone says:
Plas is

the original humor hero jock. If you read his best stories, he’s always a little bit bawdy, a little bit messed up, and that really is my favorite kind of hero,

And it kinda is, with the premise alone.

According to Simone, Plastic Man finds himself battle some of the smartest villains in the DC Universe. Normally that would be OK because he can call for backup. This time though, he’s all on his own with no help coming.

Amanda Conner and Aaron Lopresti are also set to provide cover art for the book.
