Here’s the Title for the Next Godzilla Animated Movie

We’ve got the new title for the second Godzilla animated movie which will premiere in Japan on May 2018.

First Look at Godzilla Earth in City Mechanized for the Final Battle

The new animated movie will be called Godzilla: The City Mechanized for the Final Battle.

Above is also the first artwork for the film which follows last year’s Godzilla: Planet of Monsters which opened to mixed reviews. Personally though, I loved that flick although there are fans who called the project “lazy” or “sloppy” thanks to the use of CG animation.

And since we’re talking about Mechanized stuff for this movie, you know we’ll eventually deal with a classic, MechaGodzilla.

So while we now know that MechaGodzilla will be in the second animated movie, getting ready to battle Godzilla Earth, we don’t have a design or a look yet. But I’m sure that will come soon.

Anyway, Godzilla: The City Mechanized for the Final Battle will be directed by Kobun Shizuno following screenplay by Hiroyuki Seshita. Polygon Pictures is slated to animate the project.
