Zeus vs Darkseid – Wonder Woman # 37

Here’s something you don’t see everyday in the DC Universe, particularly with the current setup. Zeus vs Darkseid. This was from Wonder Woman # 37 by James Robinson, Carlo Pagulayan and Stephen Segovia.

At the start of the battle, it looks like Zeus has the upperhand in this fight with a younger, weaker Darkseid.

Darkseid goes for a cheating spree for a bit by using his Omega effect to weaken Zeus.

At this point in the fight, Diana had recovered her strength and her age (after Darkseid stole both in issue # 36). Darkseid manages to buy some time with the weakened Zeus.

The fight continues in the streets of the Philippines where the meat of the fight transpires.

Zeus got a bit cocky and wanted to finish the fight as early as possible. And he’s also out for blood, not just looking to stop Darkseid on his tracks.

Unfortunately for the head honcho of the Olympians, this was all a trap and a way to catch Zeus off guard. When the dust settles, Darkseid is back in his original form.
